AFMT Delegation Meets Maharashtra Development Commissioner

On 30th September 2025, a delegation from the Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Traders (India) met with Shri Deependra Kushwaha ji, Development Commissioner (Industries), for a follow-up to our earlier interaction on 28th July 2025.

Delegation Members Present:

Mr. Amiet R Barot (President), Mr. Kishin Manik, Mr. Rajesh Chhabria, Mr. Dhanesh Bhatia, Mrs. Daksha Jain, Mr. Praful Chheda, Mr. Ankit Lalwani, Mr. Gopal Suthar, Mr. Sampath Suthar, and Mr. Divesh Savla.

The discussion focused on strengthening industry–government collaboration and building a structured ecosystem for the furniture sector in Maharashtra. We sincerely thank Shri Deependra Kushwaha ji for his valuable insights, guidance, and continued support.

Latest Progress

We are pleased to share that the official proposal has been submitted to the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and is currently under consideration. The Development Commissioner’s Office has also issued a consent note to enable initial coordination.

During the meeting, we also shared the latest edition of our Furniture Biz Magazine with Shri Deependra Kushwaha ji, inviting his office to share updates and initiatives through our publication — enhancing communication between the government and the furniture industry.

This marks another milestone in AFMT’s mission to shape a well-organized and forward-looking future for India’s furniture sector.
